The “Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin” opened its doors on 6 May 2022 in Dijon. 🏢
We of course attended the inauguration evening with many meetings and discoveries of local know-how on the programme! (See pictures on our social networks) 🍷
This time it’s official, the city is open to all! And there’s no doubt about it, it’s the ideal place to have a good time, and to take part in many experiences to live and to taste.
At the heart of the Cité is the gastronomic village with its eight shops dedicated to the emblematic products of French gastronomy. Come and discover fresh fruit and vegetables at the “Le charreton” shop, good seafood at “L’Ecaille”, gourmet sweets at “La Gloriette”, Dijon specialities at the “Manège à moutarde” and many other products made in France for a very local shopping experience.
Are you an amateur, beginner or passionate about cooking? The Cité’s gourmet bookshop offers you a wide choice of culinary books on French and international gastronomic secrets in a warm and welcoming space.
You can also enjoy the new state-of-the-art Pathé cinema, which offers a wide choice of films for all audiences in a comfortable and unique design.
Maison Briottet is proud to be one of the many local references in the new city of gastronomy and wine. You can find us both in the exhibition area and in the gastronomic village.
And yes, we are honoured to be partnered with the grocery shop “La Planche” which highlights the diversity of French cheeses, and offers a wide range of delicatessen products to accompany your cheese!
Have you ever heard of the Ferrandi cooking school? It is a great hotel school already present in Paris, Saint-Gratien, Bordeaux, Rennes and now in Dijon. They place great emphasis on regional culinary specialities and oenology courses which are given by the prestigious Burgundy Wine School. This makes us want to join the adventure… We won’t say more!
