Our Armagnac VSOP has the appellation “Bas Armagnac”. Indeed, it’s produced in the western part of the Gers department (county). It is made using the Colombard, Ugni Blanc and Folle Blanche grape varieties. Distillation is carried out using traditional armagnac stills. These stills do not produce huge quantities but play a vital role in obtaining the finesse of this armagnac.
Our Armagnac VSOP (for “Very Superior Old Pale”) is aged for five years in oak barrels minimum.
Tasting notes: this Armagnac is a gleaming and crystalline golden hue.
The nose exhibits vanilla, fresh fruit and floral (lime tea) notes.
The mouth is frank and distinct. Then quince and fresh grape notes emerge.
The last impression left on the mouth by this armagnac in the mouth is that it is supple, round, with a slight vanilla flavour, and has a good range.
