Briottet’s Mandarine Liqueur is made from Mandarine distillate. The latter is extracted from the zest of the fruit by means of distillation.
We then add some extra-fine French white sugar, in order to obtain a fine liqueur which reveals all the subtlety of the mandarine.
While it makes for a nice change in certain cocktails, Mandarine Liqueur is pleasant to drink “frappée”, as an after-dinner drink.
You can also follow in the footsteps of Jean Briottet (formerly in charge at Maison Briottet), whose end-of-meal ritual was to have a strong coffee, to which he added a cloud of whipped liqueur and a dash of mandarine — a very nice way to end a meal.
