As is the case as regards all of our crèmes de cassis, our 20% alcohol-content Dijon Crème de Cassis by Gérard Briottet is obtained by employing the most prestigious blackcurrant variety the Noir de Bourgogne variety. The berries we use are harvested exclusively in Burgundy, France. The blackcurrant berries are macerated in a water and alcohol solution for about 10 weeks, in order that all of their flavours are extracted from them.
This liqueur is the only Crème de Cassis on the market which is produced using only the virgin juice (also known as free-run juice) produced by means of maceration. This juice is the juice which contains the most fruit and it therefore exhibits all of the powerful flavours of the berries the cassis simply explodes in one’s mouth !
This exceptional liqueur was created about twenty years ago by Gérard Briottet ( fifth generation), in order to satisfy his ever-more demanding clientele.
